Devitec Paste for Pulp Devitalization

Devitec Paste for Pulp Devitalization

Product Detail:

Devitec Paste for Pulp Devitalization is a arsenic free paste.

Content Weight:  6g

Storage: 5°C - 30°C

Composition:
Polyoxymethylene 49%, Lidocaine Hydrochloride 38%, oil of Clove 12%, excipient ad 100%.

Properties:
Devitec should be used when a medicated preparation for pulpdevitalization is advisable and when an arsenic-free preparation is preferred. The active ingredient is Polyoxymethylene, a coagulant which acts on albumin and confers the required fibrous consistency to the pulp to facilitate its subsequent extirpation. Lidocaine Hydrochloride is an anaesthetic to relieve pain and calm irritation.

Indication:
Devitalization of the Pulp.

It is Made in Switzerland.

Devitalization is a procedure used in dental treatment to remove or "devitalize" the nerve within a tooth, often as part of root canal therapy. This process is typically performed when the tooth’s pulp (the inner tissue containing nerves and blood vessels) is infected, inflamed, or damaged, usually due to deep decay, trauma, or a severe infection. The goal of devitalization is to alleviate pain, stop infection from spreading, and preserve the natural tooth structure.

During devitalization:

1. The dentist opens the tooth and removes the infected or damaged pulp tissue.

2. The canals are cleaned, disinfected, and shaped.

3. The tooth is then filled and sealed to prevent future infection.

Devitalization helps maintain the tooth's functionality and structure without the need for extraction. After the procedure, the tooth may require a crown to restore its strength and appearance fully.

2. Forms: Available as a gel or liquid.

3. Application:

  • Applied to the tooth surface using a brush, syringe, or applicator tip.

  • Left on the surface for about 15-30 seconds (depending on the product and tooth type).

  • Rinsed thoroughly with water afterward.

Types of Etchants:

1. Enamel Etchant: Used specifically for etching enamel surfaces.

2. Dentin Etchant: Formulated for dentin, which is more sensitive than enamel.
